Verbeterde Puma's!

Up to 23 percent more productivity thanks to innovative SCR engine technology /Ease of operation boosts productivity / Concept proven across Europe / Puma CVX awarded top marks for low fuel consumption in latest DLG Powermix test

St. Valentin / Austria, 6.9.2011

Twelve years ago, Case IH launched the world's first production tractor with continuously variable transmission, a concept that has revolutionised tractor operation and is today regarded as the benchmark for productivity, efficiency and comfort. The latest CVX tractor series from Case IH has built on this success to quickly become the technology leader in the performance segment.

A major factor in the continuing success of the Puma CVX series has proven to be the Case IH EfficientPower system. This harnesses the benefits of various technologies ?especially in the tractor's powertrain and control system ? to considerably improve productivity and comfort, and as a result cost effectiveness, compared to conventional technologies.

Efficient Power is the intelligent interaction of various technical systems in Case IH Puma CVX tractors. This extends from the new operating concept, which focuses on intuitive control and modern engine technology with an innovative exhaust emissions cleaning system, through to Automatic Productivity Management (APM) and Advanced Farming Systems (AFS). AFS ensures intelligent networking of the tractor's systems, while in the same way the Automatic Productivity Management system controls the interplay between engine, transmission and PTO, depending on each operating situation, without the driver's intervention. The driver can thus concentrate fully on the task in hand.

SCR technology boosts productivity by up 23 per cent The lowest fuel consumption values, the best hydraulic performance in its class and an innovative productivity management system ensure that the Puma CVX series delivers up to 11.5 per cent higher productivity than its nearest competitors.

To achieve this the Puma CVX series features powerful engines with electronic common rail injection. All engines are equipped with an SCR system that complies with the current Tier 3b emission standards. SCR technology not only reduces pollutant emissions, but it also improves engine performance, response and fuel consumption. An additional 21hp means that the farmer has 10 per cent more power available if engine speed is reduced to 1,800rpm.

More performance, less consumption The engine power management system on the Puma CVX series makes up to 38 per cent more power available on demand. This corresponds with a boost of 23 per cent that is then available during transport and for PTO work. Maximum torque is 1,160Nm, while the highest constant power range ensures that at just 1,500 rpm the same power is available as at the nominal speed. In practice, this means it?s possible to lower the engine speed - and as a consequence fuel consumption - without any reduction in productivity.

Top marks for cutting fuel consumption This value of EfficientPower technology has been proven by the latest DLG PowerMix survey, in which the Puma CVX 230 EP was awarded the highest mark of all tractors in its class. With a fuel consumption of 263 g/kWh, it achieves specific consumption figures that set a new benchmark worldwide.

Modern cab concept with high level of driving comfort Another success factor in the Puma CVX series is its modern cab and control concept. The spacious Surround Vision cab with curved glazing, low noise level and perfect all-round visibility is fitted with suspension as standard and offers a high level of driving comfort as a result.

The active front axle suspension, which has 105mm of travel, constantly monitors ground conditions and analyses a range of parameters such as hitch position, braking, and choice of gear, reacting accordingly. Not only does this improve ride quality, but it also makes the tractor easier to control ? the suspended axle counteracts jolting when towing a trailer or manoeuvring with a front loader, for example. The system also includes automatic load-sensitive level control and an active suspension system that ensures neutral driving characteristics.

Easy and cost effective control concept The heart of the Puma CVX control concept is the Multicontroller and ICP panel, plus AFS Pro 300 or 700 touch-screen monitor. These features integrate all the tractor's functions into the armrest to control driving speed, change of direction, hand throttle, etc. A recent survey of tractor users indicated this control concept was the most preferred for ease of use and understanding. Instrument displays, meanwhile, are integrated into the right-hand A pillar.

Modern 'cockpit' is instantly intuitive Comparisons with other tractors in this class have shown that operators need almost a quarter less time to become completely acquainted with the Case IH Puma control concept. With fewer permanent staff and more temporary operators on farms, that makes for less downtime and more worktime.

Powerful rear end Puma tractors have long been known for their lift capacity, and these latest models are no different. With a lifting force of 10,460kg, the Puma CVX comes top in its class. An axial piston pump delivers 170 litres/min of oil flow for extremely quick response. In addition, up to nine remote valves can be installed.

mee eens, die ad-bleu rommel zorgt alleen voor extra kosten en je komt niks verder.
