For the third year in a row the Mondello Truck Show in association with Calor Gas will feature competitors from the British Truck Racing Association (BTRA) Championship, who will cross the Irish Sea to entertain Show visitors with their door-to-door racing action on September 5th & 6th.

Straight from Silverstone from the last Rounds of the BTRA Championship the Truck Races will see a variety of competitive machinery from, MAN, Volvo, Renault, Scania, Freightliner and Mercedes-Benz entertain show visitors with incredible wheel-to-wheel action.

Driving these up to 14 litre 5.5 tonne 1100 hp 4x2 tractor units around tight and tricky race tracks at up to 160 kp/h is not a task for the faint-hearted and requires strength, tenacity, confidence and quick reflexes!

Steve Horne of Steve Horne Truck Racing & Promotions Ltd., who is the main man behind the BTRA’s visit to the Mondello Truck Show said, “It is always a spectacular sight to see these race trucks coming up the straight flat-out at Mondello Park. The drivers love the challenge and the warm reception from the spectators. Of course, Truck Racing also provides a great platform for spectators to come up close and see the trucks and meet the drivers in the Paddock,” added Steve.

Additional on-track activities at Mondello Truck Show 2015 will include the Stop & Go competition, Ireland’s Fastest Courier Race and the climax of the two-day event – Ireland’s largest Convoy!
