Who know what is the price of this tractor in Europe. For us in South Africa, these tractors are over priced.

If I work this back ino South African rands, the difference is then 20 000 dollars that we are paying more.

Depends of course on the moment you're buying and how high the dollar is. but watch out: add a few extra's and you pay an extra 20.000-35.000

My boss just bought a JD articulator, could get a good deal on the moment

What is a good deal? How do you calculate what size of tractor do you buy or do you look at the size of ha that need to be work!

It depends on what you need, why buy a bigger one if there's no work for the extra horsepower? cost are higher/hour then. - What kind of other equipment do you have, here it's for packing the bunkers, , for the disc and the discripper. we pack now with a Fendt 930 total weight 19 ton, with the JD it's gonna be 27-30 tons ! hopefully we can catch up with the harvester then. total aroud 650 hectares here

I will only look at a tractor like this when I have to work a 1000ha plus and this will be use to pull a disk. In the area where I am farming we are not big into bunkers, it is cheaper for us to bale and wrap. I have all year around perment grazing, in the winter our temp drop to 15 degrees so I am then grazing oats during this times.
